Eagle Creek
Abstract photographs of Nature.
Watching the clouds roll by is mesmerizing, like watching the campfire, or the ocean waves. Rivers hold a similar magic, and I could watch the dance of waves, reflections of colors, and the shifting shapes of the rocks and plants beneath for hours. I wonder how to describe the qualities of water. The images in this series all tell one little story, one snapshot of time for this particular stream.
It’s a fantastic way to explore Nature!
Eagle Creek
Exploring Eagle Creek in October
This is an image that I made while Exploring the Eagle Creek canyon in the Columbia River Gorge.
Finding that wow moment of the reflective colors, movements and textures is fantastic. My friends were more than patient while I waved my camera around like a mad man, tentatively asking me if I “got a good shot”!
There’s no telling- but I had a lot of fun trying!
Photography is constrained by the literalness of a subject and a snippet of time. to throw off those norms and just be present in the place allows me to play with the feelings that are the river.
