Abstract thoughts
Abstract photographs of Nature.
Watching the clouds roll by is mezmerizing, like wathching the campfire, or the ocean waves. Rivers hold a similar magic, and I could watch the dance of waves, refections of colors, and the shifing shapes of the rocks and plants beneath for hours. I wonder how to describe the qualities of water. The images in this series all tell one little story, one snapshot of time for this particular stream.
It’s a fantasic way to explore Nature!
Deschutes
Exploring the cascade lakes
Deschutes 1090 is an image that I made while standing in the Deschutes River, very near the headwaters at Little Lava Lake. The brilliant sunshine was illuminating both the surface and the structures below the water. I love that it carries the feeling of motion, sparkly nature of reflections and even the shadows.

Photography is constrained by the literalness of a subject and a snippet of time. to throw off those norms and just be present in the place allows me to play with the feelings that are the river. (needs refining/ editing)
